Toulon is port city situated on the south-west coast of France, around 45 minutes drive from Marseille. The port is a military and naval base and provides good connections to the island of Corsica with day and night time departures on offer. Situated close to the rugby stadium of Mayol, the terminal is very well connected to Marseille and the rest of the country, by the A50 motorway.
Porto Vecchio provides connections between Corsica and the French mainland via the ports of Toulon and Marseille. Porto Vecchio itself is one of the biggest holiday destinations on the island of Corsica and features a variety of different hotels, apartments and holiday homes. During the summer, connections by road become very difficult and busy due to the influx of tourists. As well as having one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, you'll also find plenty of amenities such as shops and big supermarkets.
