Situated on the north west coast of Croatia, Porec is a Roman town that connects Croatia with Italy and Slovenia. The ferry routes departing the port head to Venice, Trieste and Piran, with the crossings typically lasting between 50 minutes and three hours.

However, you don’t have to veer away from Porec to bask in stunning architecture engulfed in medieval conditions – the Old Town is an idyll lined with quaint buildings and Euphrasian Basilica is a UNESCO World Heritage site that has grown into the most popular landmark.

The best way to get around is usually by car, especially if you’re planning on travelling out of the town. Alternatively, most choose to walk around the Old Town or when travelling around the resorts.
