Oarai is a Japanese town located in the Higashiibaraki District, in the northern Kanto region. The only ferry route is supplied by MOL Ferry heading to Tomokomai, another Japanese town, and sails 12 times per week, lasting around 18 hours.

What is there to do in Oarai?

For anyone who loves their sea life, the Aqua World Ibaraki Prefectural Oarai Aquarium is one of the standout attractions in Oarai. Away from the beaches, the Oarai Marine Tower provides spectacular views of the landscape, and is fairly easy to reach via car or taxi.
